PAUL Rowley hopes people who came to the Leigh Sports Village for the first time to see Elton John will come back for more.
The stadium was packed as thousands of people enjoyed a spectacular show from Sir Elton and no-one was more impressed than Leigh coach Rowley.
“As a Leyther I was proud to see the LSV full,” he said.
“It was a great event which showcased our stadium and our town.
“It would be nice to think some of the people who were visiting the LSV for the first time will come back to see us play.
“I am bringing some people to the game on Sunday against Dewsbury who are not big rugby league fans but want to be involved in what we are doing here. It’d be great if other people could bring a friend or two along.”
Leigh’s attendances have been growing steadily as the club have made a record-breaking start to the season.
“The fans have been great this year,” said Rowley. “Seeing everyone in red and white really does lift the players.”
