A Leigh heating and plumbing distributor is sponsoring its local team.
From 2014 the Westco logo will be on show in the Leigh Sports Village Stadium, taking its place on the Centurions’ famous cherry and white strip opposite the iconic Roman soldier crest on the club’s shorts.
Neil Johnston, managing director for Westco, located on the Moss Industrial Estate, St Helens Road, said: “We’re delighted to support our local team and wish them well in the season.
“As one of the biggest employers in the area, it’s good to be in a position to make a meaningful contribution to the community – and Leigh Centurions are certainly a cherished source of pride for local residents.”
Rob Parker, commercial manager and former player for Leigh Centurions, added: “These are exciting times for Leigh Centurions and with the clubs aspirations to be in Super League we are extremely proud to announce that Westco will be one of our 2014 shirt sponsors.
To have a company of Westco’s size and stature involved with us really does outline our plans for the future.
“We look forward to working with them throughout the season in our bid for Super League.”
