FUIFUI Moimoi is guaranteed a warm welcome when he meets the Leigh fans for the first time next week.

The powerhouse forward who joined the club during the off-season from Parramatta Eels will be introduced to supporters at a welcome event to be held at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday.

The ticket only event, titled Welcome to Fuifui Moimoi will be held in the Banqueting Suite.

Leigh coach Paul Rowley and head of rugby Derek Beaumont will also be speaking on the night and the Centurions players will be there to meet fans and pose for photos.

A display of traditional Tongan dancing led by ex-Leigh favourite Lee Hansen is also promised and supporters will then be invited to ask questions from the floor.

Moimoi will then be signing shirts and photograph opportunities with supporters.

The 6pm start has been chosen to enable as many of the Centurions’ younger supporters to attend, bearing in mind that the following day is a school day.

A Leigh Centurions merchandise will also be available from 6pm onwards on the evening and supporters are invited to bring along their shirts to be pressed with selected players names and numbers at a cost of £10 per shirt. Shirts can be pressed from 6pm onwards in preparation for later signing.

Numbers are strictly limited due to the capacity of the room and are available from the ticket office at £5 each (no concessions) which includes pie and peas supper.

Tickets are on sale in the following priority:

Until noon on Friday, January 9 - Sponsors, Touchdown Club members and LISA members who are also season ticket holders;

From noon on Friday, January 9 - Season ticket holders, LISA members and Leigh lottery members;

From 10am Monday, January 12 - open sale.

To pre-register your order you can email Andrew Parkinson at the Ticket Office on Andrew@leighrl.co.uk and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

There will be further opportunities for supporters to meet Fuifui Moimoi and the rest of the Leigh Centurions team after the Paul Prescott testimonial game at LSV on Sunday 18 January (3pm) when they will be available in the Sports Pavilion at Leigh East ARLFC from 6pm onwards.
