Centurions forward Emmitt handed one match ban

Leigh Centurions forward Jacob Emmitt has been suspended for one match and fined £100 after an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal found him guilty of two Grade A punching offences at Halifax earlier this month.

Four more players who were involved in the match also faced action: Tony Tonks (Halifax) – one-match ban for a Grade B punching offence in the 35th minute; Paul Mennell (Halifax) – Loses the right to submit an Early Guilty Plea in the next 12 months after admitting Grade A punching in the 28th minute; Sean Penkywicz (Leigh) – Loses the right to submit an Early Guilty Plea in the next 12 months after admitting Grade A punching in the 28th minute; Sam Barlow (Leigh) – Loses the right to submit an Early Guilty Plea in the next 12 months after admitting Grade A punching in the 52nd minute.
