I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank all of your readers in Wigan who have supported the work of the NSPCC during the last year.
Without the backing of local people the NSPCC would not be able to help abused children rebuild their lives, or be there for parents who desperately need advice and support.
The NSPCC’s £1 million Greater Manchester ChildLine Schools Service Appeal, also launched earlier this year, to put the ChildLine Schools Service in all primary schools across the Greater Manchester, helping nine to 11 year olds to understand abuse, give them the confidence to talk about it and the knowledge of where to find help if they ever need it. As we move into 2015 I would like to appeal to your readers to make a very special kind of New Year’s resolution for the charity and support the Greater Manchester ChildLine Schools Service Appeal.
