THE Heathfields Residents’ Association sheltered housing complex at Heath Charnock has a cabin – built with money from Santander and CCH – as their meeting place.
The neighbourhood fund of CCH gifted the residents a generator to supply electricity to this meeting place.
The residents have now built up a fund for the maintenance of these.
Burt what we don’t have is the manpower and now that our generator has gone on the blink, we are not capable of taking it into Chorley to have it seen to.
It is probably a two-man and small van job.
Our cabin is getting damper and we are not able to use it.
We have been fortunate that the landlady of the White Horse has made us welcome on two occasions, but this is only possible in reasonable weather as the people who benefit mostly from our meetings have limited mobility (many using walking frames) .
If anyone can help us, it would be greatly appreciated.
