ANYONE who enjoys really good comedy should make a note not to miss the latest offering from a Leigh theatre company.
St Joseph’s Players are presenting ‘When We Are Married’ by JB Priestley which is set in Yorkshire, in 1908.
Three highly respectable couples, the Parkers, the Soppitts and the Helliwells, played by Paul Jameson, Nicola Reynolds, David Hodgkinson, Kath Roberts, Carl Hughts and Donna Wood, all married on the same day, in the same church and by the same vicar, are celebrating 25 years of wedded bliss. But out of the blue disaster strikes!
The vicar was never licensed and they’ve all merely been living together all these years!
At a stroke all the cherished certainties of their lives start to unravel. Can the three couples hide their shameful secret?
