WELL-mannered children at a Leigh primary school have been honoured with special awards for their good behaviour.

Pupils from St John’s Infant School, Leigh (pictured), attended a celebration hosted by Standish High School to reward schools for their quality behaviour management in schools.

A working party of nominated headteachers devised and trialled the protocol for the Quality Behaviour Management Celebration Award.

Suzanne Barnes, school business manager at Woodfield Primary School, said: “Assessors visited schools and enjoyed seeing and meeting the children within the school setting who are obviously extremely proud of their schools and their achievements.

“They displayed good behaviour, respect for one another, personal confidence and self-esteem.

“Congratulations to everyone involved.”
