POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was allegedly assaulted outside a primary school and community centre.
The victim had parked on Newton Road, in Lowton, during a routine school run just before 9.30am on Thursday, September 3.
Another vehicle then pulled up behind her and parked sideways, blocking her in, with the male driver then going into the nearby community centre.
On returning to his vehicle he then accused her of blocking her in. The victim then alleged he grabbed hold of her, leaving bruising and scratches on her arm, and acted in a threatening manner towards her.
The incident abruptly ended when the man left the scene as other people in the area became aware of what was happening.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is investigating the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who saw the incident should ring police using the non-emergency number 101 or call independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
