COMMUNITY relations were given a boost when police organised a picnic for Lowton residents.
PCSO Jane Tymon of the Lowton East Neighbourhood Policing Team (pictured front centre) and home watch co-ordinators organised the event for residents of the Ballantyne, Stein and Chandler estates.
All the residents were invited to attend a meet and greet with the co-ordinators and the police to encourage more community involvement and partnership working.
Organisers declared the night a success with more than 40 people turning up, property marking took place and crime prevention advice was given.
The home watch scheme already has 100-plus members and has only been running for a couple of months.
