A new store has opened creating 15 jobs.

The latest Screwfix store at Leigh Business Park is the latest in a national expansion programme.

New store manager Steve Giblin said: “I’m confident that we’ve got a great location.

“My team have already been out and about meeting local businesses and tradesmen and we are keen to welcome all DIY enthusiasts to our store.

“We have created 15 new jobs and have employed local people including people of all ages and all levels of experience.”

Representatives from the power tool manufacturer Hitachi will be at the store on Sunday demonstrating their products.
