Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was glassed in an unprovoked attack in a Leigh nightclub.
The 19-year-old was hit with a glass or bottle, inside The Sound Bar on King Street, in the town shortly after midnight on Monday, May 7.
The item was thrown from within the club and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The victim suffered an injury to his head that required nine staples.
Detective Constable Craig Hurst, of Wigan CID, said: “The victim’s injuries are so serious that he will be scarred for life.
“Using a glass as a weapon can have potentially fatal consequences and I want help from the public to find whoever is responsible.
“This was a needless and unprovoked attack the offender clearly has no regard for others.
“I want anyone with information about the person responsible to call police.”
