TWO Leigh youngsters had an unforgettable experience at a top theme park - after winning the chance to take part at Knight School!
Lucky Annabelle and Ben Whitter, age six and three, were among 30 children aged from six to 12 who won the chance to don armour and train with the finest knights in the kingdom of Camelot earlier this month.
The youngsters received an exclusive behind the scenes look at what it takes to be a knight of the round table, they learnt the art of medieval combat and weaponry, dressed the horses for the jousting tournament and even learnt a skill or two from Scoop, Camelot’s very own jester.
The winners and their families then spent the rest of day at the popular theme park at Charnock Richard.
Sandra Dempsey from Camelot said: “Knight School is a magical experience and the children just love it. It’s a once in a lifetime chance to see what it takes to be a knight or a jester up close. We even have requests from dads to take part!”
