VICKY and Iain Morley are taking on the London Marathon in memory of her dad.

Brian Creese was a distance runner and the husband-and-wife team will also be raising money for Parkinson’s UK, as Vicky’s mum Beryl suffers from the condition.

Vicky said: “I’m not a runner, but my dad, Brian Creese was a marathon runner. He always wanted to do London but never managed to get in, and then he died of cancer aged 52 before he got to run.”

Vicky wanted to raise money for Parkinson’s UK after Beryl attended one of their support group centres in Kent.

The charity also run an information guide for sufferers and families on their website, and fund research to try and improve medication and treatment of Parkinson’s, which is currently incurable.

Vicky and Ian are aiming to raise £1,700. They are being encouraged by Iain’s parents and their daughters Lottie, eight, and Isobel, five.
