WALKERS are invited to amble across Morecambe Bay for a charity which supports people with a muscle weakening disease.
The Myasthenia Gravis Association is looking for volunteers who would like to do walk across Morecambe Bay, under the direction of the Queen’s Guide, Cedric Robinson, who has been guiding walkers across the sands since 1963.
The walk, from Arnside to Kent’s Bank in Cumbria, rakes place on August 11 and can only be done with a guide, Entry costs £5.
Walkers will meet at around 11.30am at the starting point in Arnside with the walk starting at 12 noon, to fit in with the tide.
Myasthenia Gravis is a very nasty muscle weakness disease that has no known cure, can cause disability and prove fatal in some cases.
The local support groups provide support to sufferers and their families, and funds raised will go to their research, care and education programmes.
