UNEMPLOYED young people from Leigh are being encouraged to snap up the last places on a training course.
The part-time IN2WORK programme offers 19-24 year olds who are not in employment, education or training and do not have any level 2 qualifications the opportunity to develop job skills backed up by practical work experience, with at least one candidate guaranteed a job.
The role begins in July in one of the delivery programme areas for charity Groundwork, and could see candidates taking up work in marketing, business administration, reception and customer service, finance, maintenance, youth development, fund-raising, development or environmental education, as well as the charity’s land-based work.
Groundwork employment and skills director Colin Greenhalgh said: “We’re sure that there are young people out there who just need to get the right opportunity to show what they can offer with the right support.”
