A HOME Office pathologist is to investigate the death of a 60-year-old man who died yesterday.
Police say they were called to a house in Boughey Street, Leigh, at dawn after reports that a man had collapsed and died during a party.
Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
A police spokesman said today that, at around 6.30am on Sunday, December 4, officers were called to a house on Boughey Street following reports of an incident at a party.
She said: “On arrival, police discovered a 60-year-old man had collapsed.
“He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
“A home office post mortem will now take place.
“A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.”
