A HOTEL in Leigh played host to ‘The King’ recently.
Elvis tribute artist, Niall Southall travelled from Middlesborough to perform to a sold-out audience at The Greyhound Hotel to boost an organisation, founded by a Lowton woman, fighting to save Elvis Presley’s ranch in America.
On the night representatives from the Circle G Foundation (the non-profit organisation set up to save the ranch in Horn Lake, Mississippi) held a raffle, displayed a few small artefacts from Elvis’ Ranch and distributed information publicising their efforts.
On the night the Circle G Foundation raised £146 and thanks everyone for their support. Visit website www.circlegfoundation.co.uk for more information and to follow progress.
Founder of The Circle G Foundation, Lesley Pilling, said: “Niall’s performance was professional, respectful and a very credible tribute to Elvis Presley.
“We’re looking forward to holding a special benefit event later in the year featuring Niall where we are planning to display some very special Elvis items from a private collection”.
