LEIGH students took a break from their French GCSE studies to hear and speak with real experts at first hand.

Year 10 pupils from Bedford High School paid a visit to Thonon-les-Bains in the South Eastern France during which they were reunited with friends from the College Jean Jacques Rousseau who acted as hosts during their visit.

The youngsters met their counterparts for the first time in May last year when the French students came to Bedford and took in the sights at local attractions in both Manchester and Liverpool.

In temperatures below -15 C, the Leigh group visited the historic city of Geneva and toured the ‘Evian’ site - of one of the biggest water producers in the world.
