Alexandra Molyneux, five, and Dylan Hockey, six, who are both pupils at Abram Bryn Gates Primary School, Bamfurlong, were reminding borough residents to put their clocks forward one hour tonight for the start of British Summer Time.

It means an hour less in bed but does mean that from then on we will have lighter evenings.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents this week called for the Government to trial BST in the winter and have a double summer time the rest of year because there are fewer accidents in lighter evenings.
