Thokozani Maya (43): Twist Lane, Leigh - Without reasonable excuse sent text messages and a letter to Antiletha Tshabango, prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order: Discharged conditionally for 24 months, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20.

John Darbyshire (42): Leigh Road, Hindley Green - Failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order: Ordered to do a further 20 hours unpaid work, totalling 60 hours.

Richard Darren Farrimond (30): Coronation Drive, Higher Fold, Leigh - Failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made on December 21: Curfew extended for breach.

Russell Groves (33): Sherwood Avenue, Astley - Drove a Mercedes motor vehicle on the M6 motorway at a speed exceeding 50mph within a temporary maximum speed restriction: Fined £165, to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30, to pay costs of £100, driving record endorsed with three points.

Michael David Mawers (45): Oak Street, Tyldesley - Assaulted June Pearce by beating: 12-month community order made, rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out unpaid work for 100 hours, restraining order made, must not contact June Pearce and must not enter Oak Street, Tyldesley, pay compensation of £100, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85, pay costs of £100 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

William Joseph Hampton (66): York Avenue, Culcheth - Drove on Alderley Lane after consuming 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Fined £120, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £20, pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 20 months.

Joshua John Lowe (22): Woodland Avenue, Hindley Green - At Leigh, he assaulted a constable in the execution of his duty. 12-month community order made, rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out unpaid work for 50 hours, pay compensation of £50, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85, pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Phillip David Atkinson (37): Westwell Street, Leigh - Stole a bottle of whisky and two Xbox controllers, to the value of £98, belonging to Sainsbury’s, stole alcohol to the value of £148, belonging to Sainsbury’s, without reasonable excuse, entered Sainsbury’s after being prohibited from doing so by a criminal behaviour order, stole food to the value of £370 belonging to M&S Simply Foods. Committed to prison for seven months, pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £115.
