THREE men who were arrested on suspicion of arson and kidnap at an historic pub have been released without charge.
Police questioned the three Wigan men aged 19, 22 and 26 after the landlord of the George and Dragon pub in Tyldesley, was bundled into a van and driven almost 10 miles away on March 3.
The offenders then returned to the Elliot Street pub to steal cash and torch the building. The landlord was not hurt, but was badly shaken.
Police have confirmed that they are still investigating the dramatic incident which saw firefighters tackle the blaze for more than eight hours.
