Could you provide a ‘forever’ home for a pet?

A LEIGH animal charity is looking for ‘forever’ homes for two dogs and several cats.

Prevent Unwanted Pets has two friendly dogs, Zena and Jack who need a family and is holding a Cat Rehoming Day on Saturday, March 7 at Furrytails Groomers in Chapel Street, Leigh.

Foster cats looking for homes can be seen and in line with PUP policy any propective owners can have a home visit on the day but cats are not homed on or near to busy roads.

All the cats have been neutered (if older than six months), vaccinated, wormed and deflead.

Micro-chipping at a cost of £15 is available on the day if anyone wants to take their own pet.

Any donations of bedding, bric a brac or tombola items would be gratefully received.

• Jack is a 10-months-old ‘Foxy Bingo’ look-a-like and has been nicknamed that in the kennels. He is very friendly and loves to play with everyone. The girls at the kennels say he brightens their day but he really needs to find a family to call his own.

• Zena is a five-year-old Cocker Spaniel who has been neutered and vaccinated and is now looking for a home. Described as a ‘very giddy girl’, she would be more suited to a home with no other animals and with older children just in case she knocks smaller tots over by accident and would be better with a family used to dogs already.

Prospective owners would need to have a home visit. For further information contact Sue on 07772 722709 or Deb on 07927 672015.
