WIGAN and Leigh College has welcomed four delegates all the way from China to visit its ever-expanding Confucius Classroom.
The group comprised directors and presidents from three of the biggest international seats of learning in China, Xi’an Bo’ai International School, Zhuhai International School and Shanghai Xihua International School.
The purpose of their visit is to not only visit the Confucius Classroom - which is used for teaching students about all things Chinese to better understand the country’s culture - but to meet principal Cath Hurst OBE and the international team to discuss the potential co-operation between Wigan and Leigh College and the three schools on A-level courses in China.
Ms Hurst offered the College’s thanks to Guoping Wang, Yincheng Guo, Lihong Wang and Jinhong Jian for visiting and said she was looking forward to visiting Beijing later in October to continue talks.
