Have your say

CHILDREN at a Wigan primary school are saying Hello as part of a national campaign to develop early communication skills.

Pupils at Our Lady RC Primary in Aspull enjoyed a special story telling session to celebrate the National Year of Communication.

During the More Than Words event, story teller Rogan Mills related his favourite tales and some songs with actions to promote the importance of all different forms of communication.

The event has been organised by speech and language therapists from the Ashton, Leigh and Wigan division of Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust, to support the Hello campaign (national year of communication), run by The Communication Trust, aimed at developing children and young people’s communication in nurseries, schools and homes.
