A CELEBRITY football match will take place this weekend for a seriously ill young boy.
The event will be held at Atherton Laburnum Rovers, Crilly Park, Spar Road, Atherton, on Sunday, from 4pm.
All funds raised will go towards helping two-year-old Braiden Prescott, of Leigh, who has neuroblastoma, raise £250,000 for life-saving treatment in America.
Former Manchester United player Danny Wallace, will be joined by footballing stars Reece Douglas and David Lee will be part of the fund-raising team, as well as boxer Carl Thompson and cast members of BBC One drama Waterloo Road.
And to keep the children busy, there will be entertainment from X Factor band The Risk, Wigan Allstar Cheerleaders, Sunshine Studios Dancers, plus face painting and a bouncy castle.
Entry is £3, with all money raised going towards the Braiden-Lee Prescott Appeal.
