A MOTORCYCLIST who died after a road smash has been named.
Keith Haydock was fatally injured after his bike and a car collided in Hough Lane, Tyldesley, last Saturday afternoon.
The 47-year-old from Astley had been travelling along Hough Lane heading in the direction of Manchester Road when tragedy struck at 4.25pm.
The motorbike was in collision with a grey Ford Mondeo, which was travelling in front of the bike on the same road, as it turned left into a private drive.
Mr Haydock suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, but doctors were unable to save him. The Mondeo’s driver and passenger escaped uninjured.
