A MEXICAN themed charity night is being held in Leigh to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
Crohn’s sufferer Emma McMullen is organising the event at Leigh Miners social club to help raise awareness of the condition which affects an estimated 250,000 people in the UK.
Mum of two Emma held an 80s night last year for the charity and made a film about her life with the condition.
Emma, 31, said: “The charity really helped me and help thousands of people who suffer too. Having battled the condition I want to help raise awareness of this horrible condition. People who suffer from it do not have any obvious symptoms so it almost an invisible condition and that is hard to explain.”
The family night will have a raffle, disco, tuck shop, games and pinatas and a bouncy castle.
The Mexican night is being held at Leigh Miners Social Club on Kirby Road on Saturday April 14 from 7.30pm. For tickets or to donate to the raffle contact Emma on 07708 529320. Tickets are also available at Bradshawgate cafe or at Leigh Miners club itself.
