EMPLOYEES at an engineering firm held a Hallowe’en fancy dress day to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
The administration team at Grundfos Europump, on Green Fold Way, Leigh, donned spooky outfits and gave the office a Halloween-themed makeover.
Staff donate around £2 a week out of their wages and regularly hold dress down Fridays to raise money for charity, but this is the first time they have decided to hold a fancy dress day.
Organiser Keith Woo said: “It’s been a very good day and we’re hoping to raise as much money as possible for the hospital. We’ve put cobwebs on the computer monitors, and people are dressed up, so there’s a good atmosphere in the office.”
The company began raising money for children’s charities after a colleague was killed in a motorbike accident and the management donated cash to help support his children.
