Those Leigh folk who used to travel to the club once voted as the world’s best disco are invited to its 38th reunion later this month.

And the legendary Wigan Casino All-Nighter Reunion has moved to the DW Stadium – home of Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic for the event on Saturday, September 24.

Famous Northern Soul favourite, Dean Parrish, is being flown in especially from New York to perform Live at Midnight. His first ever album release coincides with the Anniversary and his Anthem, I’m On My Way, was always the last record played at the Heart of Soul Allnighters ... all 542 of them, running from September 23, 1973 until December 6, 1981.

It then hit the UK charts and his other records including Determination, Tell Her and Bricks, Broken Bottles and Sticks were also played.

Six Wigan Casino DJs, including the DJ synonymous with Northern Soul, Russ Winstanley will be there on the night, from 8pm until 4am.

Wigan Casino Clothing will be launched on the night plus a Dance Competition, David Barrow’s Casino paintings and a free souvenir for everyone, a very much treasured Wigan Casino Membership Card!

Tickets at just £10 are available from Wigan’s Grand Arcade or Pay Pal at www.SpangleFish.com/russwinstanley or for more info Tel: 01942 826060 or £12 on the night.

Russ said: “Tickets are flying out and it will be a memorable night.”
