HUNDREDS of women will join together to help beat cancer at Tesco and Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in Leigh this weekend.
More than 1,600 women - including cancer survivors and people taking part in memory of or in celebration or their loved ones’ lives – will walk, jog or run 5k at Pennington Flash to raise money for life-saving research.
As well as the race, there will also be face painting, a cycling smoothie making bar, and inflatable penalty shoot-out.
The community can also enjoy a physio massage from NRG Health and fitness team or get weight loss advice from Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust and take part in an aerobic warm-up led by local Rosemary Conley team leader Linda Coombs-Brennan.
