AROUND 200 pupils from across Lowton were in fine voice at a special concert celebrating the area’s Christian ethos in education.
Pupils from Lowton CE High School’s Glee Club were joined by youngsters from three feeder primary schools for the evening of catchy, energetic songs and dance held at Christ Church Pennington.
The concert was put together through the iSingPOP singing project which taught the youngsters the music, words and dance routines over four days before the final concert at the church.
The pupils and Glee Club members also went into the studio at Lowton CE High to record their performances
on to a CD with a sound engineer.
The lyrics to the songs mirror the schools’ ethos and core values based around friendship, hope, peace and compassion, while the concert was also organised to help the secondary school continue to develop its links with local churches after becoming a Church of England school.
