NOMINATIONS are now being accepted for an awards ceremony which will celebrate all that’s class about children and young people in Wigan and Leigh.
Volunteers from Wigan borough’s cultural sector are being invited to take part in this year’s Cultural Partnership Recognition Awards.
The voluntary sector awards are being organised by Wigan’s Cultural Partnership: a body made up of individuals from the public, private and voluntary sector dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities by increasing the accessibility of cultural resources and developing recreational facilities.
Nominations should only be for those involved with cultural sector activities and categories include: The Lifetime Achievement Award; The Best Children’s Project/Event for youngsters aged five to 12 years old; Best Young Persons Project/Event for youngsters aged 13 to 19 years old; Volunteer of The Year, relevant to children aged five to 12, Volunteer of The Year, relevant to young people aged 13 to 19;
The awards will be presented at the Cultural Partnership Convention on Saturday September 24 at Haigh Hall.
