FORMER X Factor singer Laura White will perform her favourite seasonal songs with Aled Jones tonight.

The 28-year-old from Atherton, will be one of the artists on Christmas Carols On ITV, hosted by the Walking In the Air crooner at 11pm.

She will join the congregation of St Elisabeth’s Church in the town of Reddish, Stockport, for their traditional candlelight Christmas Eve carol service.

She will be singing and playing the piano for Once in Royal David’s City and Silent Night.

The celebrations include festive performances from Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro and Memphis soul singer Toni Green.

Along with everyone’s favourite carols, the service also features Christmas prayers and bible readings from comedian Ted Robbins, Coronation Street youngster Alex Bain and actor Lee Boardman.

She said: “I absolutely loved filming the special. I was asked specifically by the head of production of the show at ITV.

“It was quite nerve wrecking as I had to play keys too and get it all right in the church. I’m so excited to watch it.”

The singer, who was a contestant in the X Factor in 2008, has also recorded her own festive song - I’m Sorry, which is available on YouTube.

Her second EP No.95 will be available for pre-order from Boxing day officially on iTunes.

All pre orders will receive the free track titled I Don’t Understand the World.

She said: “I am also playing a show in Manchester and another in London, which will feature the material from the new EP. This year I have also been writing for many other artists including Alicia Keys, Paloma Faith, Clean Bandit and many more artists. I now am so excited to be releasing my EP and putting Atherton and Leigh on the map and want everyone with me on my journey.”
