A LEIGH folk singer who released his 10th solo album earlier this year will perform in his home town next month.

Well-known folk entertainer Bram Taylor’s new CD ‘Jokers & Rogues’, released on the British folk label Fellside Recordings, has received excellent reviews all round.

Within weeks of the Album’s release, it received Radio 2 airplay, along with some very complimentary and positive comments from BBC Radio 2 ‘Folk on Two’ presenter Mike Harding.

He referred to the title track as: “A cracking track from Bram, a stalwart of the British Folk Club and Festival scene”.

So far this year Bram’s busy schedule has taken him to Spain, Holland, Belgium and the United States and on the ‘home front’ he has also performed extensively throughout the UK.

During his current tour of UK venues Bram will be featured in two local concerts as part of the ‘Tyldesley 2012’ celebrations in August and the Ashton-in-Makerfield Festival in September.

On Monday, August 13, Bram performs in his home town, Tyldesley, in ‘An Evening with Bram Taylor’ at Tyldesley Library. Doors open at 7pm. (Ticket details from Tyldesley Library 01942 404738).
