WIGAN and Leigh College’s annual Festival Day and Freshers’ Fayre once again proved to be a huge success.
For once the weather was kind and the sun shone down as people enjoyed live bands and a range of activities for all the family.
Stilt walkers and Chinese Lion Dancers entertained the crowds outside, but there was plenty going on indoors with The Image Centre delivering a range of cut price treatments and other faculties putting on fantastic exhibitions and shows.
The Mayor, Coun Myra Whiteside, was given a guided tour of the facilities by College principal Cath Hurst OBE and she wasn’t shy to get involved with plenty of the activities.
Further Open Evenings will take place on Tuesday October 9 and Thursday October 11.
