A former Golborne High pupil is celebrating the publication of her fourth novel.

Adele Cosgrove-Bray’s Artisan-Sorcerer series follows the lives of a group of housemates who create beautiful art in their shared Liverpool home, but who are also members of a secret international order of magicians.

My characters face believable, tough situations, but there are elements of love and spirituality mixed in too.

Their lives are fraught with dangers and difficulties, yet a strong thread of romance links the novels together.

“The stories have a very real feel, for all them being fantasy,” said Adele.

“My characters face believable, tough situations, but there are elements of love and spirituality mixed in too.”

The fourth book of the series, Fabian: An Artisan-Sorcerer Story, is about a mid-thirties high school art teacher who is frustrated by the limitations of his job and ends up being dragged into a mysterious world in which two long-time enemies do battle.

Adele graduated from Golborne High School in 1980, and though she now lives in Oxton, on the Wirral peninsula, she still has family and friends in Lowton where she grew up.

In her mid-twenties she attended art school in Liverpool, and continues to paint in both oils and watercolours.

She said, “I’m really excited about Fabian, and readers will learn a lot more about the Artisan-Sorcerer’s everyday lives in this novel. But I’m already planning the next in the series. I know how it’s going to end but that’s classified info!”
