A YOUNG woman who is set to play a lead role in a pantomime in Leigh travelled all the way to America to meet with the real Cinderella and get some tips on playing the role.
The Turnpike’s very own princess, Laura Gredecki, said: “Cinderella is such an amazing story and this year the production will be better than ever.
“It was great to meet Cinderella at Disney and to get a few tips ready for the pantomime. After years of playing the principal boy, I am excited to be playing the role of Cinderella. Prince Charming and I are also excited to meet all the other princes and princesses who come to watch the production and we will be happy to have our photographs taken after the show.”
As part of the Christmas production, Turnpike is encouraging all the young princes and princesses from across the area to come and watch this new production. After each performance, they will be on hand to meet the audience and to have their photographs taken with all the princes and princesses in the audience!
Turnpike’s chairperson, Gill David, said: “This promises to give everyone in the audience an escape from worries about the recession as they are transported to a world of colour, laughter and song!”
Tickets for the production are selling fast and anyone wishing to watch this all new production should book now to avoid disappointment.
Performances will be held at Twelve Apostles Club on Thursday-Saturday, December 1 to 3 at 7:15pm with an additional matinee performance on Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced at £4-50 and £4 (concessions) and family tickets (two adults and two children) are also available priced £15.
